Privacy notice

RepairRing is not open yet. Two things on this site collect personal information: the priority-list form, and the demonstration phone line. This notice covers both.

Who we are

RepairRing is operated by OrderRing Ltd, which is the data controller for everything described here.

The priority-list form

It asks for your garage name, your name, your email address, your phone number, your postcode and when you would rather be called. It also records that you agreed we may contact you. That is everything.

Why we are allowed to hold it: your consent, given by ticking the box. You can withdraw it whenever you like and we will delete your entry.

The demonstration phone line

The number on this site reaches an AI assistant answering as a fictional garage, so you can hear the product rather than read about it. It is a real assistant on a real call, not a recording.

If you go through with a booking on that call, we store what you told it:

The assistant only knows what you say to it. It does not look your registration up against DVLA or any other database, and it is instructed not to state vehicle details you did not give it. Nothing you say is checked against a real vehicle record.

The call itself is handled by ElevenLabs, whose platform runs the voice assistant and processes the audio of the conversation under their own privacy policy. We keep a reference to that conversation alongside the booking so the two can be matched up.

These are demonstration bookings. No garage is expecting you, no car is going anywhere, and nobody will turn up. If you would rather the record was not kept, email us and it is gone.

The audio clips embedded in the page itself are pre-recorded and scripted — playing them sends us nothing at all.

Where it is kept

In a single database file on a server we rent from netcup, used only by this site. It is not loaded into a CRM, not shared with other companies, and not sold to anyone. Backups are taken nightly and kept for a fortnight before being overwritten.

If we switch on email notifications for new signups or bookings, those are sent through Resend, which would process the contact details in order to deliver the message to us.

How long we keep it

Priority-list entries: until RepairRing launches and we have contacted you, or until you ask us to remove you. Demonstration bookings: they exist to prove the assistant works, so we clear them out as we go and you can have yours deleted immediately on request. If the product never launches we will delete both lists rather than sit on them.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the page get read. It sets cookies, so we ask first and it stays switched off unless you press Accept. If you decline, or ignore the banner, the Google Analytics script is never downloaded at all.

The one thing we store without asking is your answer to that banner, kept in your browser so we do not badger you on every page. It is not a tracking cookie and it never leaves your device.

There is no advertising on this site, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party pixels beyond Google Analytics.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

Email hello@orderring.co.uk and we will do it. There is no form to fill in and we will not ask you why.

If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.

Changes

RepairRing is being built, so this notice will change as the product does — particularly once it answers calls for real garages, where the garage becomes the controller for its own customers and we become its processor. The date at the top is when it last changed.
